Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management/Engineering or related field (NQF 7)
- 5-7 years’ experience in water resource management, hydrology, or ecosystem conservation
- Understanding of urban planning processes and water engineering principles
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement water quality monitoring systems for surface/groundwater
- Analyze water sample data and maintain comprehensive water quality databases
- Coordinate municipal water management initiatives with provincial/national agencies
- Develop environmental policies for watershed protection and rehabilitation
- Investigate water quality complaints and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead public education programs on water conservation best practices
- Provide technical input for environmental impact assessments
