Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, Environmental Management/Engineering or related field (NQF 7)
  • 5-7 years’ experience in water resource management, hydrology, or ecosystem conservation
  • Understanding of urban planning processes and water engineering principles

Core Responsibilities

  • Design and implement water quality monitoring systems for surface/groundwater
  • Analyze water sample data and maintain comprehensive water quality databases
  • Coordinate municipal water management initiatives with provincial/national agencies
  • Develop environmental policies for watershed protection and rehabilitation
  • Investigate water quality complaints and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Lead public education programs on water conservation best practices
  • Provide technical input for environmental impact assessments
