Hyundai Bloemfontein is looking for a dedicated Service Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the automotive industry while focusing on maximizing service sales and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. The Service Advisor will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service department, by providing expert customer service, handling vehicle repairs, and facilitating effective communication throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximizing Service Sales: Utilize professional sales techniques to increase service sales, ensuring customers are offered the best solutions for their needs.
  • Customer Confidence: Build and maintain customer trust in the Hyundai brand by delivering knowledgeable and professional service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of customer details, job requirements, service history, and vehicle information via job cards.
  • Vehicle Inspection: Conduct a physical inspection of the vehicle alongside the customer, noting any damages and the vehicle’s mileage.
  • Customer Communication: Perform daily follow-ups with customers and provide consistent updates regarding the status of their vehicle throughout the day.
  • Payment Verification: Ensure jobs are not released without verified payment and ensure payment arrangements are confirmed before starting the work.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure all CPA documentation is completed in compliance with the law.
  • Quotation and Costing: Adhere to the company’s quoting policy, confirm payment arrangements before commencing work, and ensure costings are accurate according to the costing matrix. Secure authorization for any additional work required.
  • Cash Sales Management: Handle cash sales in accordance with company policies, ensuring that deposits of no less than 50% are taken for jobs exceeding R5,000. Ensure that repair waiver forms are signed and filed correctly.
  • Work-in-Progress Reporting: Keep track of vehicles on the work-in-progress report and ensure all costings, including labor hours, are updated daily. Communicate upsell opportunities to the customer with proper authorization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar service advisor or customer-facing role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Educational Requirements: A Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
