Job Title: Specialist Artisan (Temporary) – Ceres Beverages Plant

Role Overview

Ensure optimal equipment reliability through maintenance, timely breakdown resolution, and process improvements to meet factory KPIs for production volume, quality, and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform Instrumentation/Electrical maintenance on production equipment
  • Calibrate control systems and maintain PLCs/electrical networks
  • Reduce downtime through preventative maintenance and root cause analysis
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment modifications
  • Ensure compliance with safety/quality standards
  • Maintain spares inventory and technical documentation
  • Support equipment commissioning and operator training
  • Work rotating shifts including overtime as required

Qualifications Required

  • Red Seal Trade Test Certificate in Instrumentation
  • 2+ years maintenance experience in FMCG environment
  • Proficiency with Tetra Pak equipment (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley/Siemens preferred)
  • Experience with industrial networks/communication protocols
  • Computer literacy (MS Office/maintenance software)
  • Understanding of HACCP and quality standards
