About SARS:

Key Purpose:
Lead economic analysis to inform tax strategy and revenue forecasting through:
• Macro/micro-economic impact assessments
• Advanced revenue modeling and prediction
• Compliance landscape evaluation
• Development of economic research tools
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
• NQF 7 qualification + 8-10 years’ research experience (3+ years specialist level)
Alternative Pathway:
• Matric Certificate + 15 years’ relevant experience (3+ years specialist level)
Core Responsibilities:
Economic Analysis:
• Monitor economic indicators affecting tax compliance and revenue
• Develop forecasting models for fiscal planning
• Provide technical advisory services to stakeholders
Strategic Execution:
• Optimize resource allocation through data-driven insights
• Implement process improvements in economic analysis systems
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies
Governance & Compliance:
• Develop policy frameworks for economic research
• Ensure adherence to fiscal management regulations
