Job Opportunity: Network & Security Operations Specialist

Employment Type: Full-time

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in IT
  • CCNP & CCSP Certifications Required
  • ITIL v4 Certification

Experience: 5-7 years in network/security roles

Location: Centurion, Gauteng

Core Responsibilities

Network Management

  • Design/maintain corporate WAN/LAN infrastructure
  • Implement network redundancy and disaster recovery plans
  • Oversee equipment installation (routers, switches, firewalls)

Security Operations

  • Configure/maintain enterprise firewall systems
  • Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Monitor/log security incidents

System Optimization

  • Analyze network traffic patterns
  • Implement performance improvements
  • Manage network capacity planning

Compliance

  • Ensure ITIL compliance for change management
  • Maintain network documentation
  • Generate operational reports

Preferred Skills

  • CCIE certification (advantageous)
  • Cloud networking experience (SD-WAN)
  • Network monitoring tools proficiency
