Key Requirements:

  • LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification
  • Right of appearance in regional courts
  • 5+ years’ experience in criminal/civil litigation
  • Specialized knowledge in GBVF cases (Gender-Based Violence & Femicide)
  • Understanding of related laws: Sexual Offenses, Domestic Violence Act, Child Justice Act
  • Valid security clearance including National Sex Offenders Register

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead prosecution services for Thuthuzela Care Centers
  • Manage GBVF case tracking and court processes
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and witnesses
  • Conduct criminal proceedings on behalf of the state
  • Analyze case dockets and make legal decisions
  • Participate in public awareness campaigns
  • Provide legal training to stakeholders
