About the Role

Astral Foods Ltd., a leading Southern African integrated poultry producer, is seeking a Storeman for the County Fair Primary Processing Plant in Fisantekraal.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Controller with daily store activities.
• Conduct weekly and monthly stock takes.
• Manage stock control for packaging, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Receive and issue goods and equipment.
• Place stock orders promptly.
• Support the implementation of 20 Keys, HACCP, risk control, and general housekeeping standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to handle high stock levels accurately.
• Proactive, independent, and detail‑oriented.
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance or repair of poultry processing and rendering plant equipment is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and at least one other official language.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, and public holidays as required.
• Reliable personal transport.

Essential Skills

• Strong administrative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills in English and an additional language.
• Basic understanding of the 20 Keys safety concept.
• Ability to work accurately and independently.
