Purpose Statement

  • Effectively lead a team of Relationship Bankers in managing portfolios, activating clients, retaining clients, and achieving revenue growth based on agreed targets.
  • Foster a client-oriented, high-performance environment within the Relationship Suite through daily activity management, resource planning, and people management.

Experience Required

Minimum:

  • At least 3 years of Business Banking experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience in portfolio management and client relationship management.
  • Proven track record of managing successful marketing and cross-sales campaigns.
  • Experience in preparing and motivating credit applications.
  • Essential sales management experience.

Ideal:

  • Knowledge of the company’s product/service offerings including features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Understanding of multi-level products and pricing structures.
  • A solid grasp of business banking administration processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Finance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Finance.

Knowledge Required

Minimum:

  • Understanding business banking and intuitive credit and portfolio management.
  • Knowledge of cross-selling campaign principles to manage retention and growth.
  • A comprehensive understanding of business banking practices and procedures.
  • Awareness of competitor product offerings and marketing tactics.
  • Knowledge of credit principles, credit applications, and securities.
  • Understanding legal entities in the commercial market and the relevant legislative requirements.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA).

Ideal:

  • In-depth understanding of the company’s product/service offerings and their benefits.
  • Familiarity with administration processes for business banking transactions.

Skills Required

  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Numerical reasoning skills.
  • Planning, organizing, and coordination abilities.
