We are currently looking for a highly motivated Import and Export Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth logistics operations and maintaining compliance in the import/export process, from managing purchase orders to overseeing shipping logistics. As part of our team, you will contribute to optimizing profits, customer reliability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order & Tariff Management: Resolve purchase order and tariff-related queries and maintain up-to-date information on exchange rates, freight costs, and shipping lead times to optimize profits and customer satisfaction.
- Communication & Relationship Management: Oversee communication between internal teams and external partners, providing visibility on raw material shipments, fabric flow, container utilization, and TEU forecast reports to ensure smooth logistics and compliance.
- Distribution Centre Support: Assist the Distribution Centre by providing necessary support and visibility to manage raw material purchase orders and ensure the timely receipt of containers.
- Coordination of Procurement: Regularly check in and coordinate with the IC to resolve container issues while setting up procurement calendars and managing the bond store to maintain compliance and optimize cash flow.
- Vendor Analytics & Sourcing: Drive vendor analytics to enhance strategic sourcing and consolidation of raw materials, ensuring the vendor onboarding process aligns with business requirements.
- Compliance & Permits: Coordinate ITAC Masterplan Rebate permit applications and other necessary permits, ensuring timely submissions and compliance. Manage tariff codes, duty applications, and ensure accurate updates on stock-on-hand values.
- Duty Reconciliation & Reporting: Reconcile duty provisions with actual payments on a monthly basis by collaborating with the AP Finance and D&M Finance teams, ensuring accurate purchase order records.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Requirements: National Diploma in Clothing Management, Clothing Production, or Fashion Design.
- Industry Interest: Strong interest in import/export shipping and logistics is essential.
