We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated Trainee Manager to join our team in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. This full-time role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and develop in the retail management field. As a Trainee Manager, you will work closely with the store management team and staff to help achieve sales targets, improve customer service, and ensure efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development: As a Trainee Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and motivating your team to drive sales and meet performance goals. You will assist in providing effective leadership, coaching, and accountability to ensure the success of the team.
  • Sales and Operational Excellence: You will support the store management in meeting sales objectives, improving customer service, and enhancing store performance. This includes implementing strategies to increase sales, improve productivity, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Customer Service: The role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You will foster an environment that ensures customers and team members are treated with respect, kindness, and efficiency.
  • Staff Scheduling and Operations: You will assist with staff scheduling and oversee various operational tasks such as store openings and closings. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining store presentation standards and addressing any human resources or loss prevention issues.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills are essential for this role. You will relay key information regarding sales performance, market trends, and inventory management to headquarters. Ensuring clear and effective communication within your team and with HQ will be crucial to your success.
  • Additional Managerial Responsibilities: As part of your managerial development, you will also take on other managerial duties as necessary to ensure smooth store operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Customer Service Excellence: A passion for providing outstanding customer service is a must.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You should be able to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing in all situations.
  • Retail Experience: Previous experience in a retail environment is highly beneficial.
  • Team Player: You must be able to work well in a team but also take initiative and work independently when needed.
  • Multitasking Ability: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are important traits for this role.
  • Bilingual: Being bilingual is a significant advantage.
  • Computer Proficiency: Knowledge of retail computer systems is a plus.
