Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed South African graduates to gain practical experience in Sales and Marketing through its Young Professional-in-Training programme. This two-year structured development programme is designed to equip graduates with industry knowledge and hands-on experience, improving their employability in the competitive job market.

Programme Overview

This initiative is open to graduates aged 18 to 35 who have completed their studies at Department of Higher Education & Training-registered institutions, including Universities, Universities of Technology, and TVET Colleges. Over the 24-month training period, participants will receive mentorship and structured learning, with biannual performance assessments to ensure alignment with their career growth and Transnet Freight Rail’s business objectives.

Successful candidates will be assigned to different departments, depots, and operational divisions within Transnet Freight Rail, gaining practical exposure to real-world sales and marketing strategies.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:
South African citizen
✅ Aged between 18 and 35 years
✅ Hold a National Diploma, Diploma, BTech, Bachelor’s Degree, or Honours qualification (NQF Level 6 or above) in:

  • Sales and Marketing
    ✅ No prior work experience required
