This non-permanent role requires a dedicated professional who can provide comprehensive technical support to ensure smooth IT operations at Transnet sites.

Position Overview

The IT Support Analyst will serve as the first point of contact for end-users, ensuring reliable desktop support and troubleshooting across various Transnet locations. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading computer hardware and software while also managing network security, data recovery, business phone solutions, and video conferencing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Maintain uptime for network, internet, and email connectivity
✔ Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues
✔ Provide support for servers, printers, and business applications
✔ Manage data backups for laptops, mobile devices, and small systems
✔ Implement ICT security measures and disaster recovery planning
✔ Set up and maintain video conferencing and boardroom equipment
✔ Oversee software licensing and hardware inventory
✔ Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and remote access systems
✔ Manage third-party service providers and ensure efficient ICT service delivery

Required Qualifications & Experience:

📌 Education & Certifications:
✅ 3-year Diploma or National/Advanced Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
✅ A+ and N+ Certification (Compulsory)
✅ ITIL Foundation Certification (Advantageous)

📌 Experience:
✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience in desktop support
✅ Expertise in supporting Lenovo, HP, Dell, Acer, and Asus PCs
✅ Multifunctional IT support experience, including servers, networking, printers, and mobile devices

📌 Additional Requirements:
✅ Driver’s license (Code 08) and own transport preferred
✅ Willingness to travel to Transnet sites and occasionally to neighboring countries
