Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Code 14 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will operate ultra-heavy vehicles and meet the specified requirements and duties outlined below.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
• Valid Code EC driver’s license with PrDP
• 3 years of experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
• 3 years of experience with Superlink/Interlink/combination vehicles
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of defensive driving techniques
• Familiarity with emergency and defect reporting procedures
• Understanding of vehicle inspections and fire extinguisher operation
• Ability to maximize vehicle efficiency
• Experience with vehicle loading and offloading
• Reliable transport to and from work
• Clear criminal record
• Medical fitness

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate ultra-heavy vehicles and prepare them for trips
• Ensure safe loading, transportation, and offloading of goods
• Handle necessary documentation and additional tasks as required
• Adhere to all reasonable instructions from supervisors
• Work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed
• Maintain a clean criminal record and safe driving record
• Keep vehicles, uniforms, and PPE in good condition
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures
• Complete medical evaluation, USCS training, induction, and driving assessment
• Undergo criminal record verification
