Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Code 14 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating ultra-heavy vehicles and ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Valid Code EC driver’s license with Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving Superlink/Interlink/combination vehicles
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
  • Defensive driving skills
  • Knowledge of emergency reporting procedures and vehicle defects
  • Familiarity with vehicle inspections and fire extinguisher operation
  • Ability to maximize vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
  • Good understanding of vehicle loading and offloading techniques
  • Own reliable transport to and from work
  • Clean criminal record
  • Medically fit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicles for trips and operate ultra-heavy-duty vehicles safely
  • Load, transport, and offload goods efficiently
  • Handle required documentation and perform other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to all reasonable instructions from supervisors
  • Ensure a clean driving record and maintain a clean criminal record
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, uniforms, and PPE
  • Follow all SOPs and safety procedures
  • Complete required evaluations, including medical assessments and practical driving tests
  • Participate in induction processes and USCS training modules
