The institute is excited to announce a vacancy for a Vice Principal: Student Recruitment at our Highway campus in Durban. This position is focused on sales leadership, distinct from traditional academic roles. The selected candidate will lead the student recruitment sales team, drive enrollment targets, manage conversion pipelines, and facilitate revenue growth.

This role will report directly to the Sales Manager.
Role Overview
As Vice Principal: Student Recruitment, you will oversee the campus sales team, motivating individuals to meet both team and personal targets in areas such as database collection, appointment setting, application submissions, and student registrations, all under the guidance of the National Sales Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Fostering relationships with prospective students from targeted schools throughout the recruitment process.
- Achieving registration targets while implementing sales and marketing initiatives to encourage undergraduate applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role requires you to help develop and implement the campus sales strategy within the framework of the NewBridge Graduate Institute’s business objectives. Key areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
- Brand Positioning
- Hiring Student Advisors (SA), Senior Student Advisors (SSA), and Marketing Consultants
- Targeting schools for student recruitment
- Conducting school presentations and attending career fairs
- Managing database collection and its maintenance
- Converting booked appointments into student enrollments
- Establishing effective reception and customer interaction protocols
- Facilitating interviews and ensuring conversion to applications and registrations
Collaboration with Management
You will work closely with management to ensure:
- SSAs and SAs, along with Marketing Consultants, are adequately trained and competent in key performance areas.
- Clear objectives and targets for all staff involved in the recruitment process are established and monitored.
- Marketing materials are forecasted and utilized accurately and promptly.
- Reporting on sales performance is conducted weekly and monthly.
- Relationships with target schools are developed and maintained effectively.
- Regular performance meetings are held to evaluate progress against indicators like presentations, fairs, and conversion rates.
- The Student Advising team is mentored to enhance sales and closing skills.
- The CRM Information System is managed diligently for 100% compliance from the sales team.
- Campus growth is measurable through sales achievements against targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all sales activities align with the campus marketing plan and brand guidelines.
- Develop a comprehensive sales plan targeting campus objectives.
- Meet campus sales targets, focusing on student numbers, revenue per student, and overall turnover.
- Implement tactical sales plans consistent with the campus strategy, including direct sales and promotional activities.
- Build and sustain a strong team of Marketing Consultants, ensuring effective recruitment and training processes.
- Provide training and coaching on product knowledge and sales techniques to all team members.
- Proactively assess and enhance the performance of SA and SSA team members to achieve set targets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, ethical standards, and company policies.
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration with academic, finance, operations, and HR departments to maximize sales potential.
Required Competencies
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in sales, preferably within a customer-centered or educational sales environment.
- A target-driven attitude with a friendly demeanor and methodical work ethic.
- Strong time management skills.
- A completed tertiary qualification, preferably a degree in commerce or an equivalent field.
Specific Requirements for the Role
A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory for this position.
