Key Responsibilities:

Learner Transportation:

• Operate the school vehicle along designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Safely pick up and discharge students at specified stops.
• Transport students and staff on field trips, planning the best routes and stops.
• Maintain discipline and order among student passengers in line with school policy.

General Worker Duties:

• Assist with general maintenance and facility support, responding to requests for repairs.
• Conduct daily checks on facilities to ensure proper function, including plumbing and other maintenance tasks.
• Help with security and access control across the campus, ensuring smooth operations.
• Provide support for traffic management and garden maintenance, including grass cutting and flowerbed care.

Health and Safety:

• Conduct daily safety inspections of the bus, reporting any mechanical issues for repair.
• Service the bus, ensuring it is fueled and maintained.
• Perform safety drills and complete necessary reports to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle to ensure a safe, operational condition.

Record Keeping:

• Complete reports on mileage, passenger counts, and other relevant data.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with Public Driver’s Permit (PDP).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transporting learners and staff.
• 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Presentable with good communication skills.
• A clear criminal record.
